D&G Builders Apprentice Comes Top!

D & G Builders and Joiners Ltd are delighted to announce that one of our Apprentices Bailey Locke has won Apprentice Of The Year in Carpentry & Joinery at Wigan & Leigh Collage.

Managing Director Damien Ormerod Commented

"We are all rightfully very proud of Bailey's Achievements and are confident he will continue to develop in his role within the company."

Here Bailey is being presented with a new full set of chisels and he also received a new block plane for being chosen for the regional Skill Build Competition.

Good Results For Lancashire Care NHS Trust

D & G Builders and Joiners Ltd have just completed refurbishment works at Hillview Unit on the Royal Blackburn site for Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust and have completed the full refurbishment to clients total satisfaction.

The work required a great amount of programming with the staff to enable the works to hit the required contract date

The works have been completed on target and to budget and provided the facilities that the client required.

The efforts of Tom Currie the Site Agent in ensuring the scheme ran to programme and in a safe and controlled way is a credit to him and his team.

Radiology Upgrade, Blackburn Hospital

D & G Builders & Joiners Ltd have just completed working on the upgrade of the Radiology Department at Blackburn Hospital to allow Toshiba & Siemens fit new medical scanners.

This work involves the close liaison of the staff on the unit to ensure services are kept running during the works.

Specialist lead protection works have been a big part of the scheme and have needed careful planning and organization throughout the project

The project has been completed to the timescales required
